Executive Director's Message
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” John 15:5-7
This is a message of unity in Christ and a promise that if we remain in Him, He will provide for all our needs. Indeed, God has been faithful in providing for the needs of our wonderful organization for another year. The AMAA has also been faithful in carrying out the mission entrusted to its leadership.
We thank God for His abundant blessings. We thank everyone who contributed to the success of our wonderful organization by praying for us, and supporting us with your work, wealth and wisdom.
Here are some of the highlights of our activities:
Visitations: We visited over 40 churches and fellowships around the world to pray with, encourage, support, hold AMAA Sunday events and participate in their worship services.
Bible Donations: We donated over 1,000 Bibles to Armenian Evangelical and Apostolic churches in the United States and Canada.
Internship Program: We had a successful internship program to Armenia and Lebanon. 21 interns and leaders participated in this “mission oriented” internship program.
Pastors Seminars: We worked with AEWC to organize a Pastors Seminar in Armenia. Over 80 Pastors and leaders from Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Iran, Lebanon, Syria, United States and Canada participated in this seminar which was held at our newly remodeled facility, Camp Sheen/Shoghig in Hankavan, Armenia.
Financial Assistance: We made significant changes to help our churches with their projects to remodel or acquire churches by providing financial assistance or loans at reduced rates.
Church Remodeling in Armenia: We started a program to remodel five churches in Armenia to improve the facilities and provide heating, lighting, sound systems and added classrooms for Sunday Schools and Bible studies. We supported the construction projects of our church in Bruxelles, Belgium.
Headquarters in Armenia: We remodeled the Baghramian Building and moved the AMAA Armenia Headquarters to the newly remodeled facilities.
Provided financial assistance to Armenian Evangelical Schools worldwide and scholarships to students who demonstrated their ability for academic excellence and the need for financial assistance.
Organized camp activities around the world: Over 8,000 youth attended the camps and learned about God and His love for each child.
Strategic Planning: The Board, with input from our Union Representatives and leaderships, worked diligently to prepare a strategic plan for the AMAA for the next 3-5 years. Special thanks to our Board members and leaders, committee members and their Chairs, our donors and sponsors and all those who partner with us in spreading God’s word and His promise to mankind.
Respectfully submitted,
Levon Filian, Executive Director
